Job Summary:
We are seeking a professional and customer-focused Sales Representative to join our sales team. The successful candidate will be responsible for handling incoming phone calls, responding to customer emails and messages on various platforms, processing sales orders, managing payments, and coordinating with the dispatch team. This full-time, office-based position requires excellent communication skills, a helpful attitude, and the ability to work efficiently with our software systems to ensure seamless sales operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Customer Interaction:
    • Answer incoming phone calls promptly and professionally.
    • Respond to customer emails and messages on various messaging platforms in a timely and courteous manner.
    • Provide accurate information about products, services, and company policies to customers.
  • Sales Processing:
    • Process sales orders accurately using our software systems.
    • Manage and record customer payments, ensuring all transactions are completed smoothly.
    • Coordinate with the dispatch team to ensure timely and accurate delivery of orders.
  • Order Management:
    • Track and monitor sales orders from initiation to completion.
    • Resolve any issues or discrepancies related to orders, payments, or deliveries.
    • Maintain up-to-date records of all sales transactions and customer interactions.
  • Customer Service:
    • Address and resolve customer inquiries, complaints, and feedback effectively.
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers to encourage repeat business.
    • Provide exceptional customer service to enhance customer satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Collaboration:
    • Work closely with other members of the sales team and other departments to achieve sales targets and company goals.
    • Communicate customer needs and feedback to relevant teams to improve products and services.
  • Administrative Duties:
    • Maintain a tidy and organized workspace.
    • Adhere to company policies and procedures to ensure a smooth workflow.
    • Participate in training and professional development opportunities as required.

Qualifications:

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field is a plus.
  • Previous experience in a sales, customer service, or office-based role is preferred.
  • Familiarity with sales software and CRM systems.

Skills:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a professional and courteous demeanor.
  • Proficient in using computer software and office equipment.
  • Ability to multitask and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.

  • Knowledge of oak products and woodworking processes (not essential).
  • Previous experience handling payments and financial transactions.
