Hard-wax oil is a modern surface coating that provides a high-quality finish to wood surfaces using natural ingredients. It can be used for interior constructions such as stairs, wooden floors, and furniture. The Natural Hard-Wax Oil is made from vegetable oils and wax components, making it a safe and gentle option for people and the environment. It has been tested by LFGB~31 and found to be waterproof, resistant to saliva and sweat, and completely toxin-free. This product is recommended for light-coloured wood species as it perfectly preserves their natural colour. It can be applied using a spray, brush, roller, or cotton rag. It is noteworthy that this exceptional quality product is both toy and food-safe. Processing:

Before use, make sure to stir the product thoroughly. The product is ready to use once properly mixed.

Before applying Hard Wax Oil Colour, lightly sand the wooden surface and ensure it is clean, dry and free from dust, grease or other contaminants. Intermediate sanding between coats should be carried out with a grain size of 240–320.

For application, Hard Wax Oil Colour can be applied using a clean cloth or suitable brush. It can also be applied using a cup gun, airless or air-mixed device. The recommended coating rate is 40–60 grams per square metre per coat. Wear a suitable protective mask/respiratory protection when applying the product, and ensure good ventilation throughout the application and drying process.

Allow the first coat to dry for approximately six hours, depending on the temperature, ventilation and the type of wooden surface. Once dry, carry out intermediate sanding with 240–320 grit and apply a second coat if required.

Please note that the final colour may vary. Natural variations in the wood grain, the type and condition of the timber, the method of application, and the number of coats applied can all affect the finished appearance. More coats will generally result in a deeper and more intense colour. For this reason, we recommend testing the product on a small, inconspicuous area before full application.

Additional coats can be applied after intermediate sanding where a deeper colour or repair is required.

Ensuring good ventilation in the work area is essential while applying Hard Wax Oil Colour. After use, close the containers tightly and protect the product from air entry. For the best results, use clean and properly functioning application equipment.

When using colours, it is recommended to apply a final layer of clear Hard Wax Oil (OD-700) for additional protection and a more premium finish.

All Wax oil samples are applied with 1 layer of wax using the wipe-on method.

In addition there can be a very small variation of colour between different batches of the product – it is therefore recommended to purchase the required amount on a single order to receive the product from a matching batch.

Method of application (brush vs cloth etc), number of coats and amount used can also produce different results – for best effect apply the product in a consistent manner.

Aging can also have an impact on the colour due to elements (sun, heat, wear) – it is recommended to apply colour to all parts within a short time period.
